Tradition in Transition

Immersed in the rich cultural heritage of Vigan, the Fiesta celebration, specifically the Conversion of St. Paul, holds a special place in my heart as a student. This yearly event showcases the resilience of tradition, even amidst the challenges posed by the new normal. Vigan, known for its cobblestone streets and colonial-era architecture, becomes a canvas where centuries-old customs fuse with contemporary realities.      In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Fiesta celebration takes on a unique character. The usual crowded processions and lively gatherings are replaced by more intimate and socially distanced festivities. He thought that if Filipinos had more knowledge, they could take control of their own future. Rizal wanted changes in how education worked, not just in books but in becoming better people, too. He dreamed of a nation where educated people could lead the country towards a better life.                Rizal wasn't just about books; he...

Embracing the Promise of a Fresh Start!

As the calendar turns to a new year, the saying "New Year, New Me!" holds a promise of new beginnings and undiscovered opportunities. It's a time when we look back at the past, enjoy the present, and eagerly await the future. In this journey of life, we are continually met with new experiences, challenges, and moments that shape our story.      The excitement of the upcoming year lies in the expectation of the unknown, the new chapters waiting to be written. Each day is a blank page, and as we welcome the possibilities that lie ahead, the feeling is that better things are still on the horizon. It's a positive outlook, a belief that we have the ability to control our destiny and create the life we want.      In the spirit of the "New Year, New Me!" idea, many set resolutions as personal guides for the months to come. For some, it's about health and well-being; for others, it might be professional growth or personal development. Regardless...
