Salute to Heroes

Every year, on April 9th, Filipinos come together to celebrate Araw ng Kagitingan or Day of Valor. It’s a special day dedicated to remembering the bravery of our ancestors during World War II. But why is it important to remember this day?

During World War II, Japan took over the Philippines. Filipino soldiers and guerrillas fought bravely against the Japanese invaders. They faced many challenges like hunger, danger, and being away from their families. But they never stopped fighting for their country.

Araw ng Kagitingan reminds us of the sacrifices made by these brave men and women. Many of them lost their lives in battle, leaving behind families and loved ones. Their bravery inspires us to be strong and courageous in our own lives.

This day is not just about looking back at history, it’s about honoring the values of bravery and love for our country. It teaches us to be proud of where we come from and to appreciate the freedom we have today because of the sacrifices of our heroes.

By celebrating Araw ng Kagitingan, we make sure that the stories of our heroes are passed down to future generations. We remember their struggles and victories, and we promise to uphold the principles they fought for freedom and love for our country. Let’s honor their memory by living with the same spirit of courage and resilience.

My Life's Guiding Force

Throughout my life, one defining quality that consistently runs through every chapter is my strong determination. From my earliest memories as a curious child, I showed a strong desire for knowledge and a  strong  spirit to explore the things I didn't know. This natural curiosity served as the foundation for my lifelong journey of personal growth and learning.       In my early years, I was that child who always asked "why" and was always excited to find  answers to the mysteries of the world.  T his drive to understand and discover fueled my educational pursuits.  As a student, I focused   on my studies, trying to do really well. Whether it was diving into challenging subjects,  or participating in any activities in school, I never hesitated to learn and excel. This strong commitment to my schoolwork became  a big part of who I am. B uilding relationships and friendships  is also important to me. I am grateful for the love and...

Let's Make a Difference Together!

In September, people all across the United States come together for National Clean-Up Month. It's like a special time that tells us to take action, do something good, and take care of our world. During this month, we get to work together and make our places look beautiful by picking up trash.         National Clean-Up Month is a chance for everyone to do more than just clean up by themselves. You can help by cleaning up local parks, beaches, streets, or by joining clean-up events in our barangays. There are many easy ways to get involved.         When you join these clean-up efforts, it's not only about making our communities look nicer, but it's also about helping the environment. When we throw away trash and recycle the right way, it can make our air and water cleaner. It also protects animals and saves natural places. And when the environment is clean, it makes people feel happy and proud.        ...

Hearts Aglow

As Christmas comes in 2023, it's a time of joy and excitement. Beyond the fancy decorations and bright lights, Christmas is about thinking and appreciating things. It's not just about getting lots of stuff but about important things like love, understanding, and being together.      During Christmas, we should focus on love. It's a chance to show and get love in different ways, like being nice, giving hugs, or saying kind words. While we're busy with gifts and meals, the real meaning is about making strong connections with people around us—family, friends, and even people we don't know well.    Being kind is a big part of Christmas too. As we enjoy the celebrations, we should think about people who might be having a tough time or feeling lonely. Christmas reminds us to be kind by helping others, volunteering, or just being there for someone. When we show kindness, Christmas becomes a time of hope, making life better for those who need it.  ...
